My Top 4 Beaches in Bangka Island

Bangka is a small island located between Sumatera and Belitung Island. Bangka Island is known for its tin mining, beaches, and culinary such as martabak, bakmi, etc. Basically, beaches in Bangka and Belitung are relatively similar; palm trees, white sand, huge and weathered granite boulders on the shore, and low tides.

Here are four of my favorite beaches in Bangka Island:

Parai Tenggiri Beach

My numero uno favorite beach in Bangka Island is Parai Tenggiri Beach. This beach is located in Sungailiat, quite far from the city, Pangkalpinang. There are more than 5 beaches you can find on the way there - i.e Tanjung Pesona Beach, Rebo Beach, Rambak Beach, Batu Bedaun Beach, etc. The entrance ticket to the beach is Rp 25.000 and you can get a free soft drink. This beach provides many facilities you can use such as swimming pool, gym, and cafe. If you wish to stay to see sunrise the next morning, you can stay at the cottage. Only one step away to the beach!

Tanjung Layang Beach

This is my 2nd favorite beach in Bangka Island. This beach is located between Parai Tenggiri Beach and Matras Beach. I believe the entrance ticket is about Rp. 10.000 per person. The entrance to the beach is quite far since it is covered by 2 tiny forests and huge granites as well. The beach is clean. The tide is quite calm even though located next to Matras Beach which has quite high tide.

Penyusuk Beach -- Putri Island and Lampu Island

Lately, this beach has been really crowded because there are two new destinations near the beach, which are Putri Island and Lampu Island. To get there, you have to rent a boat. I believe it is really cheap.

Crystal clear waters, soft white sands, and live reefs. Perfect for diving and snorkeling, isn't it? To be honest, this place is perfect to see sunset as well.

Tongaci Beach

The last one is Tongaci, which is a new beach in Bangka Island. The entrance ticket to the beach is Rp. 10.000. There are so many things you can do here; swimming, camping next to the beach, you can also visit turtle conservation, a museum. There is a great beach bar as well. Open until midnight. Not to forget, so many good spots to take photos at de Locomotief area!

Most beaches here are relatively untouched by mass tourism, just like a virgin beach. Interesting, huh?

If you ever find yourself in Bangka, pay a visit! It will worth your time and money.

Thank you for stopping by!

XOXO,

Anggun ♥
